Date format in Date Prompt

Hello everyone!  ;D
I had a requirement from a client to change the way the date is displayed in the date prompt (edit box) from the default one to the format Fri,25/09/2020. I changed the js and the xml in the cognos server with the format DDD, dd/MM/yyyy but I dont get the week day. I get the result in the screenshot attached. What I am doing wrong? :-\
