Hi Guys,

I found issue in Cognos Analytics11.1.7 My Content permissions
Here, user who have read and Execute permissions for the team content have full access to My Content, with this, the user could override the existing permissions and could see the cognos and AD security portal.

So, is there any generic way to restrict access on permissions on my content for all users so that only cognos admin should have access not others.

Thanks in advance

sdf

Review your capabilities and applied permissions on your namespaces.
Under capabilities check the permissions you have for users,Groups, and Roles. The same as Set capabilities and manage UI profiles. Both are under the Administration capabilities.

Thanks SDF, but it didn't solved the problem.

There is a user Test1 and this user has full rights to My Content folder, and this user able to navigate to properties of a report, dashboard or  folder under My Content folder but that user should see only General tab only not permissions or capability tab.

This works fine for Team Content folder but not for My Content folder.

Hi Guys
Found Work around given in IBM Community and even IBM support given this work around.

  • Remove the "Everyone" group from the capability "Hide entries". Add admin or super users groups/roles if you want. Standard users can't set "Show hidden entries" anymore.
  • Go to the namespace properties and enable the "Hide this entry" checkbox.

Thanks
