2 minor bubble chart formatting questions

Hello COGNOS experts,

I am running into two minor things with a bubble chart (currently using 11.0 visualization set because the 11.1 set does not allow aggregated measures on the x axis.. but thats a question for another day)

1.  I am trying to do a simple pattern abbreviation for my bubble size value (revenue in the millions) via the $#######M and -6 scale method ... but i dont even have the option to do it!  When I go to data format for that measure, the options are limited and do NOT include pattern.  What dictates whether a data format in Cognos can or cannot allow pattern formatting?

2.  Is there any particular reason the ability to show values is so limited or outright impossible with bubble charts?  I understand it may not end up being visually feasible, but with 11.1 and 11.0 i cant find anyway to post any values on my bubbles.  And with legacy, it only shows values of the bubble size measure (cant show x or y axis measures which is what I was hoping to show)

Thanks--and if these questions are answered in other threads, I apologize.  I have been doing searches for the past few hours and cant find an explanation for these specific things.

Much love everyone!
