Greetings:
I decided to try to setup the C8 Audit Extension, which on top of the Audit package, can provide useful content and account tracking. Following the documentation, I setup the extension and ran it. The log file generated the following error: Exception in processstatusAudit()
Performing a flush of AA items to database after batch limit reached
Account Audit exceeded configured max duration of: 900
Limit exceeded processing item: CAMID...
etc...

Well: my LDAP namespace is indeed quite large. Hence, I decided to put a filter on the Account Audit. Unfortunately, the log file still generates errors. Only now, the errors are as such:
Exception in processstatusAudit()
java.lang.NullPointerException
etc...

Has anyone ever experimented with the C8 Audit Extension and had any luck with it? Any suggestions on the DB size, etc.?

Also, for some reason, I do not have the Role Audit option (as shown in the setup manual). My only options are: Content Audit, Account Audit, & Status Audit

I took a look at the newly created tables in my logging DB, all beginning with  AE. I was hoping the AE_ACCOUNTAUDIT_MAIN would give me more information. I was hoping to be able to report on our Cognos users and their role/license from this extension.

Experimenting with the C8 Audit Extension also generated strange results:
Within the AE_ACCOUNTAUDIT_MAIN table exist the following fields: VIEWED_FLAG and ACCESSIBILITY_FLAG. My assumption is that the viewed_flag shows whether Cognos has been viewed (user logged in?) and accessibility_flag displays whether a user has access to Cognos. Ironically, for all users (those that do have Cognos access and those that do not) have a value of 0 for both fields. According to the C8 Audit Extension manual, the software/app is not supported and is provided "as-is." Hence, my experimentation with this extension for the moment has been halted.
