Hi,

Is there way to find out which folder a report column came from in Report Studio?  Lets say Query Subject "Country" was inside manually created folder called "Folder1" in Framework Manager and you publish the package.  When creating the report in Report Studio, you open up "Folder1" and expand table "COUNTRY" then bring in column "COUNTRY_CODE" to report.  When you go to "Expression" you will see "[gosales].[COUNTRY].[COUNTRY_CODE]".   Is there way to see "[Folder1].[gosales].[COUNTRY].[COUNTRY_CODE]"?   I remember back in the Impromptu days there was some kind of executable you can run and then press "F1" then it actually showed the full path including the folder.  Wondering if there is something similar in Cognos 10.2?

Thanks
Sang

Hi,

I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if the Lineage feature will tell you this? In Framework Manager, folders are just for grouping, and they don't impact the name of an item (unlike namespaces, which do). It's worth having a look at Lineage to see if it reflects the folder names, though.

Cheers!
