Best way to replace a report without breaking view that are based on it.

Hi All,

I need to replace an old report with a new version that I just developed.
My problem is that I don't want to break views that are based on the old report.

Currently, i just manually replace the old report with his newer version by deleting it and replacing it but this method breaks view that are based on the report.

Is there methods that are more convenient ?

Any help would be appreciated,

When you delete the report, the ID goes with it.  The new report has a different ID.
Likewise, performing a "save as" will (usually?) change the ID.

You might try a deployment export and import in Cognos Administration.
