Hi,

I'm getting this error when I try to run a report. After 4 or 5 tries, the report runs without any problems, without changing anything.
I installed reportnet inside a virtual pc and run the report on the same pc.

extra details:
WPBIBusMethod.cpp(190): WPEnginePluginException: CCL_CAUGHT: WPBIBusMethod::run

WPWaitMethod.cpp(168): WPEnginePluginException: CCL_THROW: WPWaitMethod::getRequest

thanks in advance for your expert advice.

Best regards.

What does the cogserver.log say about this?

Hi,

But strangely the problem has something to do with IE, because when I run the report in firefox, I don't get the error. (So for now, I stick to building the reports in IE and validating them in firefox) I would use firefox to build them too, but report studio isn't showing up in cognos connection.

Are your IE settings ok? Have added the domain to the local intranet zone or to the trusted zone. Perhaps it's a problem with cookies...
Take a look on support.cognos.com

Hi all,

Do you know if we can get a Virtual Hard Disk in order to run ReportNet and/or Cognos 8 on a Virtual Machine (i.e vhd file for Microsoft Virtual PC or WMWare) ?

I would like to test the last releases and make demos, and also have a transportable installation...

Thx.
