This is not the typical question "where do I get exam dumps bla bla bla "
I have a real interest in getting the certification next year, and I was wondering if anyone here has already passed the test.

I took it at the beginning of the year and I failed it. Even though I think I know how to make Cognos work for me using good practices, I found out that the questions were too specific, like you need to know each parameter available for each component for each visualization instead of trying to solve real life scenarios. If I have to compare, I found that C10 certification was much approachable for that matter.
The other think I didn't like much about was that it was based on R3, (when I took the exam, R5 was already installed in the company).

So, back to the original topic, my 2019 resolution is to get this certification.
I was wondering if anyone has any tips to study that you can share. Do you do study groups?  I was thinking about doing simulation tests in group and then discuss the answers and the reasons behind the choice (the official site, last time I checked, offered some simulation tests but there were no answers at the end, just a approve/fail ratio).

Merry christmas and happy new year to everyone!
Happy Reporting!

Merry christmas and happy new year to everyone!

I passed this exam back in July. These exams tend to have a lot of very picky and specific things and you need to read the questions and all answers quite carefully. It covers a wide variety of topics but 45% of it is reporting. Some of the reporting visualization questions refer to Charts so it isn't just the new and legacy rave visualizations.

The practice test was well worthwhile. I did the practice test together with a very knowledgeable person who seems to know everything there is to know about Cognos and between the two of us we FAILED the practice test. That was a bit disturbing but I had made notes on things we weren't sure about and followed up by looking into those topics further. I took the real test a few days later and passed. Phew! Prior to the practice test I'd gone through all the topics listed as exam objectives to read up in the user guides and play around in the product to refresh, reinforce, and dig into areas I use less frequently.

Good luck!
