Hi Everyone,

I'm attempting to make a colleague a Cognos 11 administrator. She is in the same AD groups as I am in. She's been added to folders, and her configuration settings are identical to mine. However, in spite of this, she doesn't have the access to various folders and reports I was expecting her to have. Is there a setting somewhere which grants admin rights to a user?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

Take a look at the members of the System Administrator role. I'm guessing this has specific users added, rather than AD groups. Just adding the relevant user to this role will grant full administrative privileges.

Remember to make sure you have a named user Analytics Administrator license for this person :)

Hi MF,

Thank you for this suggestion! I've added my colleague to this group. I'll know by tomorrow if this works.

I really appreciate your help.

Sincerely,
Mike
