As of 11.0.7, Text Measures are supported in crosstabs.

We are on 11.0.10, but can't get text measures to render values in crosstabs... we get the -- in the cells.  I DO get the expected values in a List.

I am struggling to find any help on HOW to make this happen, assuming there is a procedure that would need to be followed.  If anyone has knowledge of how to make this work, I would very much appreciate any help or points in the right direction.

Thanks!

Hi,

What data source connection / data server connection are you using to connect to the cube(s)? If you're using the "old" form of connecting - a data source in the Admin Console with a type of TM1, this won't allow you to do some of the newer stuff such as text measures in crosstabs. If you switch to using a Data Server connection this is using the new API to your cubes and should allow you to use the new features.

Just a thought.

Yeah, its the old TM1 one... we had an issue that required its use over the PA one.  I will have to see whether we can switch to the PA one.

I was hoping there was something needed on a setup/config side of things... :-[

Nope, sorry. You need the new API for the newer fancy stuff that was added :)
