Cannot view namespaces when adding a user to a group

Hi All,

A problem arose last week where all of a sudden, I and other users can no longer browse or search namespaces to add users to groups. As you can see in the following screenshot, the Directory is showing "No entries":

However, my namespaces (both Cognos and external LDAP) are visible, browsable and searchable when not adding a user to a group:

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas as to what may have gone wrong? For the moment I can add users by typing their namespace and user IDs in, but this is far from ideal.

Thanks,
Brian

There is a checkbox in your first screenshot for 'Show users in the list'. Have you tried to click that and do you get the same results?

Hi,

Yes, I did and unfortunately it made no difference at all.

The weird thing is that this used to work fine until last Thursday and then it has suddenly changed. We haven't changed the security set up in our environment (I am a System Administrator so I should be able to see it anyway).

Thanks,
Brian

Did you ever get this resolved?  We are experiencing the same situation and error.  Thanks.

Still looking for resolution on this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

try to hit your LDAP configuration again if restarting the server is not an issue for you.
You might want to clear caches. The fact you can still add members means you can still query your ldap.
I would assume this would be on the presentation layer issue.

There are several issues...

Our environment uses a third-party authentication service (Custom Java application getting data from Common Access Card (CAC) system. We do not use Username/password.

In the 'custom' Namespace we are unable to see any users, thus not able to add new users to groups/roles in Cognos namespace.

Existing Users are able to authenticate and run Cognos reports as normal.

Hope that clears up our question.
