Data format does not work on attributes

Hi everyone,

I am trying to change the format of an attribute pulled in from TM1 into my report.
It has to be upto 2 decimal places. I used the Data format function -> Number of decimal places=2 but it doesn't work.

We are working with  Cognos Analytics and TM1 cubes as data source.
I even tried changing the format in TM1 via Element attributes cube but the change still doesn't reflect in Cognos report.

Please advice.
