Hi, I am working on cognos 10 Report Studio, I have a crosstab with dim1 on row header, dim 2 on column header and Fact1 on intersection.

Now I need to format Fact1 based on Fact2.

I tried.

1. when with only 3 data items in report, if I try to use conditional formatting on Fact2 , I get error that you are refereeing a column that is not part of layout, to avoid this I can add Fact2 in "Crosstab node member" either of Dim1 or Dim2 or both dim, in that case I don't get any error , but I see same formatting on entire row or entire column .

2nd approach: I added both fact1 and fact2 , this is working but when I do box type to none for fact2 , setting of Dim2(column header) gets disordered.

I will appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

sdf

I can't really picture out how your crosstab looks like with two facts (measures).
When you add your fact 2 to your column, do you put it above or below your dim2 header?
I did something like tuple the dims to a measure before using them in the cross tab with another measure, but I'm really not sure if we have the same requirements.

This will be a lot easier if you can provide a screenshot/diagram of what you are trying to achieve.

cheers!
