Warning message when running prompt page with JS

Dear all,

The context is: Cognos 10.2.2 / IE 11 (11.0.9600.18617).
Cognos page / URL is referenced as "local intranet" in the security settings of the browser, per default.

I have added few JavaScript lines of code in the prompt page in order to have only few "style effects", nothing major in JS side.
But, in the current environment, when I run the prompt page I see the following warning: Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls.

How can I remove this message?

Thanks
V.

Hi,

You may wonder why I'm asking this here, as maybe it is not a problem related directly to Cognos but only a problem of Policy settings: I just hope that somebody would have faced the same problem and could give me a hint.
Using the same javascript stuff in the same Cognos version, but for another customer, I don't get the same problem.  So, I guess that it is purely a policy setting.
I checked also with the Trusted sites in IE, but it doesn't change anything.
Looking on the net for " Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts ", I see that many answers are related to the advanced option "Allow scripts to run in files on My Computer", but this also is not the correct point (as I don't have this option in the environment where I don't see the warning message)

Any help/advice welcome,
V.

I would be looking on the Security tab in your IE Internet Options page. Select "local intranet" then "custom level" and scroll down to the ActiveX section of entries. My guess is that one of these is set to "Disable" - probably the "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" setting.

Hi MFGF,

Thanks for your answer.
I played a little bit with the options in the "Local Intranet" -> "Custom Level",etc.. but didn't find anything that stop this message to be displayed. I compared also the settings of the environment where I don't see the problem and this one, and theoretically I should not have this problem.
I guess I will have to talk to someone in charge of the group policies, etc.. as this environment is strictly managed and secured, not by me "of course".
