Multiple select statements fired by prompt queries

Hi Guys,

I am facing performance issue in a report prompt page and trying to tune it, where I noticed that a single query with 3 data items used by 3 different prompts is firing distinct sql to the datasource. Whereas the generated sql from cognos shows single sql with all 3 fields in select clause.

Would appreciate your thoughts on this
