Cognos for office migration document from 10.1 to 10.2 issue

Hello  ,

I'm working on cognos 10.1 to 10.2 migration project , and i've some issue within Cognos office 10.2.2.
Scenario :
1 - Create new powerpoint document "my_ppt_created_by_GoOffice10.1.1_.pptx" using Cognos office 10.1.1 ( Ms office 2010 32 bits)
2 - Open ppt document "my_ppt_created_by_GoOffice10.1.1_.pptx" using Cognos office 10.2.2 ( Ms office 2013 / 2016 32/64 bits)
Result:
> Under Cognos office 10.2.2 ,broken link between document "my_ppt_created_by_GoOffice10.1.1_.pptx" and Cognos source Report !!
> can't update data ..!

Other tests:
> use "anonymous access" ----> Result = KO
> use "Update utility" ----> Result = KO
> modify ppt metatdata folder:
> Create a new "my_ppt_created_by_GoOffice10.2.2_.pptx" using Cognos office 10.2.2
> copy the content of tag_10.2.xml in tag_10.1.xml
> open "my_ppt_created_by_GoOffice10.1.1_.pptx" using Cognos office 10.2.2 ----> Result = Ok

Question:
> is there any solutions to this issue without working with ppt metadata ?

The only thing I can suggest is that you go to fixcentral and download the latest interim fix for Cognos for MS Office to see if that fixes the issue?

Hello ,


i tested it using COC_APP-AW32-ML-RTM-10.2.5200.1040-0.
this is the newest version of Go Office 10.2.2.

A new InterimFix added by IBM : coc_win32_10.2.5200.1047 to fix this problem "Cognos for office migration document from 10.1 to 10.2 issue .... Report Broken Link"
