Running in Background/Scheduling Report using External Data

We have just completed our migration from 10.2.1 to 11.0.6.

We are experiencing issues trying to run a report that uses an external data source (and created package).

It works when you run interactively; it gives you the prompt to select the external file.
However, when trying to run in the background or schedule, it is not prompting for the external file (as in 10.2) and the report is subsequently failing.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
