Query Studio - Hide some columns from end users

Hey Folks,
We have some packages that we use for both Ad-hoc QS reporting and for our developers to provide Report Studio reports for our end users.

We have some columns that we don't want to expose to our QS users, but still want them to be able to run our RS reports that make use of these columns.

I'm somewhat familiar with object security in the FM model, but I want to be sure that by restricting access to certain query subjects we don't also restrict the ability for users to run reports that use those Query subjects.  We don't want to have to maintain separate packages to support this requirement either.

Hopefully this is clear?!

Thanks,

New_Guy

Hi,
This is not possible to do based on which studio they are using. Check the option in FM where you can hide the columns/query subjects, but they can be used in the calculations.
Good luck
