Multiple namespaces in import Layer with conformed dimension

I have just started working on Cognos and have basic question regarding FM modeling.

Suppose i have multifact DW schema with confirmed dimension. what is the best way to organize and model them in Import layer.

I have two subject areas in DW finance and sales which have their own Fact table and conformed dimensions

I am creating a below structure of layers.

Model
    IMPORT LAYER
        SALES DB LAYER
        FINANCE DB LAYER

    BUSINESS LAYER

    PRESENTATION LAYER

Question:

1. Is it a best practice to organize multiple fact tables in different sub-namespaces in Import layer as there may be some reports where we may need confirmed dimensions and measure from both the fact tables.

2. Do we need to import conformed dimension in both the sub-namespaces (Finance/Sales) or do we need import it in any one sub-namespace and join it to fact table in other sub-namespace.

3. Instead of using sub-namespaces can we organize tables in folders in Import Layer. Is there any disadvantage/advantage using sub-namespaces.

Any other suggestion would be very helpful
