Radio button issue using Firefox 54.0

Haven't seen any other messages about this, so just curious if anyone else is seeing this issue in Cognos reports when using the new version of Firefox:

Mozilla just released Firefox version 54.0 a few days ago, and now when I run reports using FF, any radio buttons in the reports are hidden.  The radio button prompts appear just fine, but the radio buttons themselves are hidden - although they are still functional despite not being seen.  Interestingly, if I put FF into Responsive Design Mode (Ctrl-Shift-M) and then back out of RDM, the radio buttons magically appear again.

I plan to submit this to Mozilla support, but wanted to first see if this issue is being seen by others using Cognos, or just me.

Thanks,
David

Hi,

IBM only supports the ESR builds of Firefox for Cognos BI. Firefox 54.0 isn't an ESR build. For a list of supported browsers, take a look at the Supported Environments page:

Cheers!

Very good point, MF!  Sadly, it didn't even dawn on me to check that, so thank you.

However, maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment because I'm still on an unofficial mission to determine what may have changed in FF between 54 and pre-54, such as CSS rules or something, that could cause this.  Can't help it - sometimes my geeky curiosity tends to get the best of me ;D  But in the meantime, I guess I need to turn off auto-updates on FF and revert it back to the previous version.

Thanks again,
David

Maybe this? I do not have ready access to test this out, but might be something to look at.

I do not think there is but I have sometimes wished for an easy way to get Cognos to emit a generic, standards-compliant HTML page. Even better, make the standards levels admin-selectable, e.g. CSS3 and HTML5. I am sure it would be a headache for them, in essence it would be like supporting another browser. Oh well, I can dream. :)

Haven't had a chance to read through it yet, but it looks promising.  Funny thing, though, is that checkboxes are still working just fine.  It's just radio buttons that are disappearing.  But as soon as I have a chance I'm definitely going to read through the article just to satisfy my curiosity. Looks like I missed finding this article by just one day seeing that it came out the day after I posted my message.  Great find, bdbits.  Thanks!  I'll let you know if I figure anything out from it.
