All,

While testing the durable model features by following IBM guidelines, I observed the following behavior:
1) When Design Language is Set as English - Zimbabwe and Active Language - English (in addition, added French, Japanese, German as other project languages), the published package displays the language (en-zw) as a prefix to the Package Name. For example, my published package reads as: (en-zw) Test Package in Cognos Portal.
Question: Is this how it should look like?
2) I was able to change the query subject and query item names. This name change only impacted English property (under Languages) since English is the current active language. When I published the package, the query subject and query item did not exhibit the name change. This is may be since the package had the en-zw associated with it.
The report did not break and it displayed the original names only. However, when I changed the query subject name and query item name for En-Zimbabwe language under properties, and published the package, the report did break.
Question - How do you test query subject/ query item name changes for a durable model? I researched a bit online, but the testing is not detailed.

Could anyone please provide more inputs on the same.

THanks,

Cognos91

The above issue was resolved:

1) The language prefix was added to the package name since while publishing the package, the list of languages that were added to the project were inadvertently moved from 'Selected Languages' to 'Available Project Languages'. Thus, after adding the other languages including English to Selected Languages, and re-publishing the package, the (en-zw) prefix was no longer visible.

2) Once this was complete, the testing of the report was also automatically validated. I was able to view the query subject and query item changes to the report. In addition, the existing report did not break. This testing is similar to the IBM documentation available online.
