Filter a crosstab based on a selection from another crosstab

I have a requirement to have a single report studio report that has a couple of crosstabs on them, where one can filter the contents of another. This is based on a TM1 cube.
Using the Samples as an example, the first crosstab has Years as columns, Region as rows and Revenue as a measure, where Years and Regions are sets ie children of...
The second crosstab has Order Method as columns (set of order methods) , Product Line as rows and revenue as the measure.

The requirement is to be able to select a specific Region on the first crosstab and to filter the contents of the second crosstab based on the selection to show the order methods/product lines for a specific Region.

I may be missing something really simple, but I can't see how to get the selection from the set in the first crosstab to be a filteron the second, assuming that the  second crosstba query would have Region in it as well.

Are you looking to do this outside of an active report?

If you don't mind the page refreshing, you could create a self drill-through on the report.

If you don't want the page to refresh, it'll be more involved through the use of Javascript. I don't have an example available, but CognosPaul may have some examples of this on his blog (CognosPaul.com).
