Hello,

We have TM1 cubes as database in my company
I am creating a crosstab report in report studio where I am suppose to get some information from attributes in a hierarchy.
I added them on the row of the crosstab and it gives me error.

Could anyone please help me how do I get attributes included in a report in report studio.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Place the members in the row and then unlock the nodes and then nest the attributes beside the members. Another option is to create a list using the attributes. Let us know if you need any further help.
Good luck

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I unlocked the nodes and nested the attributes inside the rows and can see the data now but the formatting is really hard to do means when the user runs it in excel format they want it to appear in separate columns while they all appear inside 1 column sticking to each other.

So, I tried creating a list report, it doesn't give me any error while running but it doesn't give me any data for the attribute columns either.

Please help.

Hi,
Place a table with 2 columns and 1 row inside the node and place the text for the member in one cell and the attribute text in one cell. I wonder why you are not getting data in the list. Are you dragging and dropping the members or using a descendents or any other function to get them. Let us know if you are still having problems.
Good luck

Thank you.

I was able to get the data in separate columns in excel output now by creating and set function for the hierarchy.
Dragged it to the rows and then kept on changing it to Data item value in properties pane , entering the attributes needed.

But now I can't group them.
Normally , crosstab report are meant to have grouped data with nested rows but somehow I am not getting grouped rows.
Further when I select 2 of the nested rows and click on the Group/Ungroup icon on the toolbar, it gives me a msg 'You can't group the selected objects'.

Do you have any idea about how can I group the nested rows of the crosstab.

Thanks a lot for your time

Hi,
Check the report properties, group repeated cells in excel, if that does not work, then you can investigate further.
Good luck
