Hi all,

I'm currently migrating to Cognos 11.0.6 and would like to use a Dashboard instead a page to be the landing page.
Contents of the Dashboard are images, text-boxes ("whats new?") and an embedded introduction video.
If I set the dashboard (for those who search the Option: done through "Manage -> Customization -> Views -> Home Page -> Select a Report or Dashboard),
it is correctly displayed.

Unfortunately the icons in the upper left area like "Save", "Edit mode" are also displayed.
Is there any option to set security that these icons can be hidden for all standard users?I dont want the users to get confused by these icons.

Already played with "read" and "execute"-capabilities of the dashboard-function and the dashboard itself with no positive result.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Best regards,
Jerome

Jerome,

You can disable the additional features such as Save/ Save As/ Edit via the Cognos Manage Console and Accounts. Click on the namespace and the role. Under the role, click on Customization tab that will provide you all the features that you can enable or disable.
