What is your report doing? Is it a crosstab? Relational or dimensional package? Any summaries?

It's a list.  Relational.

I saw this once after I had edited the XML of a report in notepad. Somehow I had corrupted part of the xml.

If you delete everything in your report, except the list, does it still happen? Try narrowing down where the problem is by deleting half the columns, and seeing if that runs. If it does, undo and delete half of those. Keep doing that until you know exactly where the problem is.
