Hi,

I've recently updated our POC Cognos Analytics environment from 11.03 to 11.05 and today i've attempted to create a new connection to an existing database (SQL 2012). However, when I attempt to test the connection I get the error messages:

UDA-SQL-0031  Unable to access.....check username and passwords
UDA-SQL-0534 Invalid connection string
UDA-SQL-0206 The OLEDB driver returned.........

I'm using "Microsoft SQL server (Native Client)" I know the details are correct as I've used this database and connection previously but I'm having no joy.

The JDBC in use is sqljdbc42 and is within the drivers folder so I'm a little baffled.

Appreciate any suggestions as to where else I could look.

I've also tested with other database and also created a new database with a new username and password but these fail also.

Thanks

Copy sqljdbc42 (30/09/2016), sqljdbc4 (30/09/2016) in the drivers directory as stated above. For SSO copy sqljdbc_auth.dll (x64 depending) into the bin64 directory.

Also some other stuff to do (for 11.0.4) even though you skipped that step, still worth having a look to see if that fixes it.
