how to maintain FM models and deployment process

Hi,

Recently our company hired new developers for FM and having below situation

Two developers working on the same model and both made different changes to the model and published the package in the Dev environment but only one of the changes were approved to move to production. The other developer changes are still in validation.

But I need to deploy the package.In such scenarios, how to approach or any process help to resolve, so that only approved changes has to be in production?

Please let me know any process help to maintain FM models/ deploying packages.
