Hi All,

I am currently testing the latest release (R5) and discovered huge differences in term of portal performance. I compared several internet browser and the worst seems Internet Explorer 11. The best performances are delivered by Chrome.

Do you know if some settings / tuning are required in IE 11?

ps: I already disabled all addons

Thanks in advance

Could you quantify these huge differences with examples of what you're doing?

On a standard installation, I don't see very much difference between IE 11 and FF. FF seems slightly smoother, but portal responds in under 1 second for both browsers.

Could you turn on Developer Tools in both browsers and monitor network and performance? What's the difference in duration? Then go to Network and see where the time differences are.

Hello,

Sure. I made some tests using developper tools and can quantify these differences.

I created an extension in CA in order to open a specific folder in Team Content. I tried to measure the time spend to reach this folder using IE and Chrome.

Here are the results:
IE = 3,35 sec
Chrome = 748 ms

I have also observed the same. There is nothing much you can do about it. Better to use Chrome.
I had discussion with IBM support as well on this and they also could not help. It seems performance is better in IE edge, which comes with windows 10 nowadays by default.
Thanks

Thanks for your feedback,

I tested Edge too and performance seems better than IE 11.

Indeed, better to use Chrome and to wait Edge as default browser.
