Hi All,

I want to hide the default tab names that comes up in a data tab control in Active Reports. Or, if there is any option to change the colour of default text.
Cognos version: 10.2.

Regards,
Nancy

Thanks,

If you want customization such as changing colors, images, etc., you'll have to use a different approach such as using a data deck for content and using a repeater table to create tabs.  If you set the width and height properties on your tabs, then you can use the Background Effects property to develop some nice looking tabs (rounded borders, gradients, transparency, etc).

Unfortunately data tab controls don't provide much customization. There are methods of using images in a normal tab control, but that's tedious and doesn't provide all the options you need.

I've attached an example which only uses background effects. No images.

Thanks for the reply Jay.

I tried to change the height and width properties for the Data tab control, but even then I could not find any Background effects property for it. Can you please suggest. I am using Cognos 10.2 version.

Nancy

If you read Jay's response again you'll see that he said that data tab controls do not offer customization options and that you should instead explore using a data deck and a repeater table.
