Getting error in FM when I am accessing the existing model

All,

I have existing model which is giving below error when I try to test the data or validate.

QE-DEF-0285 The logon failed.
QE-DEF-0323 The DSN(ODBC)/ServiceName is invalid. Either the DSN is missing or the host is inaccessible.
RQP-DEF-0068 Unable to connect to at least one database during a multi-database attach to 1 database(s) in:
Oracle_Indirect

UDA-SQL-0031 Unable to access the "Oracle_Indirect" database. Check that the connection parameters to the database are configured correctly. For example, ensure that the data source connection contains the signon information, such as a password, to connect to the database.
UDA-SQL-0532 Data Source is not accessible: "ccrsindirectvdsi".
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

But when I am trying with the same existing model in Cognos connection with Report studio I am not getting any error.

I created one test model with the same data source connection and same DB, I am  able to test the data and validate the objects.

I am using oracle DB 64 bit and cognos 10.2.2 64 bit.

Can anyone help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks
Uma

I was going to say you probably need to set up your database drivers on the computer on which you are running Framework Manager. But then you said you were able to create a new model for the same database that is failing? That is odd... I guess I would compare data connection properties on both models and see if there are any differences.

Thanks for your reply.

I am able to create new model based on the same database which is not failing.

I found the issue, I believe that, existing model has been saved by different user id.

I don't know how to resolve it?

Can you help me please :) :)

Hi,

If your existing model is accessing Oracle though the native client libraries, these need to be installed on your FM machine to allow FM to be able to connect. If your new model is connecting to Oracle via JDBC (ie Dynamic Query Mode), FM uses the driver on the Cognos Server to connect, so doesn't need local connectivity.

I suspect this is what you are seeing here...
