Hi

I have one question, it is based on 10.2.2 (Linux)
The test is as follow:
1. Cognos BI connect to abc.mdc as datasource
2. refresh and add a NEW dimension in abc.mdc
3. cp the new abc.mdc to replace the actual one
4. close browser/change another browser to do analysis, can see the new dimension not displayed

Wait for a little while, can see the new dimension.

Personally I believe this should caused by cache somewhere but I can not find how to clean this cache. I want to display the new dimension once abc.mdc changed.

Thanks for any of your suggestion

I would do the following:

-create a brand new package on the same data source and see if the dimension is there.

-if it there Google how to recreate the run time models and recreate them.

- you mentioned you are copying the cube. Sounds like manual copying. I would suggest you look into the copy and activate strategy that is documented in the user guide if you are not already using it.

This will likely resolve your issue as it makes Cognos immediately aware there is a refreshed cube. The 'activate' part will let queries in progress finish, and satisfy any new requests from the new cube.
