Hi Guys,

Haven't found this scenario here or googling it. I'm stumped! Any clues?

I have access to 3 environments (all as administrator, all running same version of c 10.2.2).

I can open up all studios fine on DEV. The other 2, nothing happens when I click to launch them (WS, WSA, QS, RS -- all the same). No errors.

CTL-Click brings up some "map with bing" options on the dud environments. CTL-CLICK opens up fine in the good one.

I've trusted all 3 environments. I've set up compatibility to old. I've disabled pop-ups.
I've changed browser security to low. I've tried referencing by server name and alias, with fully qualified domain, and none. I can't crack it!

Other people in organisation are OK. This is a new laptop...
Same thing experienced with Mozilla and IE.

Anything you can think for me to check would be most appreciated, thank you!

UPDATE! NO LONGER STUMPED  ;)

I ended up logging on to other people's IE as myself, same thing.
I then got another admin to try with his credentials, and guess what? Same issue!

Turns out they just hadn't really used the studios in past 2 days, so didn't know it wasn't working!
So sorry to have troubled you.

The issue was two-fold:
1) in IIS, someone had changed the redirects on the default website to the full ISAPI address (down to .dll), this
2) propogated down to the ibmcognos virtual directory too

So we:
1) changed the top-level re-direct in IIS to .../ibmcognos; and
2) took off the re-direct at the VD level

Restarted IIS and... bingo!

Not deleting thread just in case it gives others a clue for future issues :)

thanks all.
