Hide default chart legend and show custom palette legend

Hi all,

I would like to know if there's a way to hide the default chart legend but still show the legend from a custom palette?

Hi reverie,

I'm guessing you're referring to conditional palettes. There's no property to set. It requires a technique where you use a repeater table. Have a look at the article below:

My method is a little different. I never use Cognos legends on my charts as I find the way Cognos renders legends terrible, especially compared to other vendors. I always define my custom palette and sorting, and create static legends out of tables. I have a lot more control over the styling of the legend this way.
