Good Morning Cognos Experts!

Have any of you seen this issue?

This is a distributed Cognos install utilizing the Cognos Notification database.  I can't be sure of it, but I'm wondering if FP5 caused something to go wonky.

When I run a report , I can see the scheduler executing the report, then the report is sent to me via email , however, the report in the activity page still shows the status "Executing" despite being completed.  Eventually the report will change the status as "FAILED" with a java timeout error.

I've tried to run the NC_DROP scripts against the notification database multiple times and have not been able to get it to work.

I've also completely nuked the Cognos Notification DB and verified the right connections in Cognos Configuration.

Previously the activity monitor was working fine and I'm beginning to suspect something weird went on with the FP5 install.  I'm contemplating rolling the entire thing back to FP4.

I suggest you look at the server logs first to get a good view of what the error is.

I've gone through all the logs including SQL traces on the servers and cant come up with anything.  It's creating rows for the reports when they are running but aren't completing them.  I've got a PMR opened up now.

I've even rolled the servers and db's back to a fp4 state and it's still exhibiting the same issues.

Appreciate the help!

When I get a solution I'll post it here.

After many calls back and forth with IBM as well as endless troubleshooting.  I did a parallel install of all 3 servers, and now of course it works!  Not the best resolution, but I figure I'd come back here and let you all know.
