So I am trying to copy a Tableau report that has horizontal bars for a dimension, with separate bars for every measure. screen capture is attached. Is this a multiple charts in Report Studio ? Or is there another way ?

I believe this is always multiple charts in Cognos. You could do this manually (if your [Num Engine Ovrhls Performed] has a low number of possible values), or via Master-Detail in a repeater Table, or via Master-Detail in a Crosstab, or ditch the chart altogether and do HTML items in a crosstab to achieve something alike.

Depends on what you want. Getting cognos to achieve the same functionality is fairly easy. Getting it to look the same, I'd say, prepare for a lot of tears. ;)

Thank you for your detailed response. I was looking for a confirmation on what I thought would have to be the workaround.

Some charts such as Pie charts allow for multiple charts, but not for bar charts.

You could reproduce that exact same look and feel very easily in Cognos using a table. Let us know if you have any issues.

The default presentation settings on charts in Cognos aren't very good, but it has all the settings to make it look good. Once you're familiar with some of the common properties to change, you'll be producing tableau like reports ( ok - maybe not all tableau reports  :) ).

Some of the settings:

Gridlines, axis colors, axis labels, foreground color, color palette, legend (I usually build my own and hide Cognos').
