Hi Every One,

I have installed "Cognos trail version 10.2.1" in my system for test the connection to SAP HANA database.I am able to connect hana database through JDBC.

1) I have created data source , then try to import tables and views in framework manager not able to see the views (which is contain in "content " folder in hana) Any one know the procedure how to get the views to cognos?

2) Then imported some tables to framework manager and tried to test the data in test TAB then i got an error message.

XQE-DAT-0001 Data source adapter error: com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Not authorized - when processing query:

May i know any one know the issue here?

Thanks
Ramakrishna

Hi,

I don't know enough about SAP to advise on how to import views, sorry. I'd guess it might be an issue with privileges for the user you are signing in to SAP as?

The second question is showing an error message coming back from SAP. Googling this message returns a number of hits - here's one:

https://scn.sap.com/thread/3250357

Again, it seems to be a privileges issue within SAP

Cheers!

MF.

Yes,User don't have access for that table.
For my first question,User able to see the views in his sap hana database,He has the access for views,Same credentials i used to test but not able to get that views in cognos data source.

Thanks
