Hide List Based on OnClick Event

Hi Everyone,

I need advise here, I am trying to hide a list in my report but am not able to do that. Let me explain what steps I have taken so far:

1. I have one report with all the prompts in report page with list.
2. I have taken Finish button in the same page so whenever user click on that button then only it should display the list in the same page.
3. Now there is one more button which is "Reset" button, I have created usign javascript. Using this button all the prompts values should be set to default value . And list should also hide. I am not able to hide the list.I have used couple of things but did not work out for me.
4. I am using cognos 10.2.1 version.

Please suggest some solution. May be you guys can provide better solution in cognos itself without using javascript that alos would be great.
