Hi All,

I am struggling with the following requirement in Bar chart and let me know if any one can add 2 cents here (even java scripts shall do )

1. Is there any way I can add comments to the bars automatically within the report. Please see the item marked 1 in the attachment
2. My pallet are colored different way and can I change the foreground color of one just one series value showed in the bar chart. Please see the item marked as 2 in the attachment. When I change the foreground color of the graph to white, the value shown in the 4th column in yellow color gets unreadable (white in yellow). The palette colors are set as black, yellow and purple. I am not sure whether I can change the foreground color of just one pallette?
3.  Can I increase the axis points when set to automatic. I want to have 10 lines always (in my cognos output it is coming as 5 or 4 always instead of 10 shown in the attached example as item 3.) Unfortunately I cant set the min and max values
4. When I display values in the palette, can I add a condition to show only when the value is more than 10%. I am wondering if this is possible

Appreciate your help

Any help here please!

1. Are those comments calculations in your query, or are you hoping to have some sort of manually input comments?
2. You can change the background colours, and you can use a conditional pallette if needed, but they only change the fill for teh columns, not the text colour.
3. No idea how you could achieve this...you'd need the chart to run first then to work out what the axis interval needs to be
4. Isn't there something that will summarise small values?

Thank you Chris for the effort,

1. This is a comment based on the comparison of each bars and that needs to be added in between those bars

2. True, I need to change the font color of one palette to display it better.

3. I am struggling with this now  :)

4. I can summarize values below some % and call 'other' ( or something else). But I need to show the values only when it is more than 10%. Cant see any way to do this

When checked through the properties of the graph , I can see lots of properties in Cognos graphs and sometimes I feel there are some simple/small things missing Cognos...eh... In the above, I reckon 2 & 3 should have done easily and 4 can be a bit more tricky. The trickiest one needs to be item 1 in the above list
