Hello experts,

I am using Cognos 10.2 where reports are sourcing from TM1 cube.
I have a report having 2 crosstabs sourcing from 2 different packages respectively.
Year prompt sourcing from 'pYear' parameter filtering from the year dimension.
Now how can I make both the reports filter from the same Year prompt since I am getting an error that the parameter is sourcing from 1 package.

I know I can't develop 1 report from 2 different packages in report studio.
But here it's  2 reports, I mean 1 crosstab sourcing from1 package and another crosstab from another package.

I have developed a similar kind of report earlier and it worked fine. The only difference was there the Year prompt was static (set[2012],[2013],[2014],[2015],[2016]).

Please help.
Thank You.

Hi,

If you want two crosstabs from two different cubes in the same report, being filtered globally by a single prompt, you'd need a single package with both cubes in it. This is really easy to create in Framework Manager. Then you'd need to examine the MUN for a Year member from each cube, and use a macro in each query to create the appropriate MUN based on the prompted-for year caption. If you're unsure how to do this, post up examples of a MUN from each and we ought to be able to help with the expression.

Cheers!
