SOLVED Changes to Project Function List not showing in Package after republish

Hi everyone

I have created a model against a relational datasource.  The datasource is Oracle, and I am using Cognos 10.2.2. When I first created the model I forgot  to restrict the set of functions available in the project to Oracle functions (data source type).  I had already published a package.  Now I have updated the model with Project ->Project Function List, and selected the 'Set function list based on the data source type', and modified the function set for each data source to Oracle.

When I republish the package and open report studio, create and edit an expression, and click on the function table on the left and then click on Vendor Specific Functions....l see all other functions EXCEPT for Oracle.  Worse yet, even with the option 'Include all function sets' turned on, after republish I still see all other functions EXCEPT for Oracle.

Has anyone seen this before?  Am I missing a step?  Any advice is appreciated.

Thank-you

Penny

I found the solution after posting (of course).  I have included a link to the article that provided the solution.  I wasn't aware that the package function list could be modified separately from the model itself.

Select the package, then click Actions (from menu at top), then Package -> Specify Language Packages.

Thank you for this! I'd also had problems (not quite the same as yours) with changing a function list, and my project was terminated before I got to the bottom of it  >:(

The link to the article is really useful :)
