hello!

I pre ran a bunch of searches to see if a question like this had been asked before, but wasn't able to find anything...

I am pretty new to using Report Studio, and am having some trouble with date filters/my prompt page. I think I know what the issue is but I don't know how to resolve it.

I have created a report that has a graph and cross tab. The graph pulls data on calls in and out of a call center, and the cross tab pulls data on emails in and out.  The date stamps for both of these are being pulled from different places within our data source. I need to search both within a given period of time, so I had to build the prompt for the "Call time date" and the "Diary Action Date". We don't have a basic "date" function built in our data set, as pretty much every line item is dated separately.

When I run the report, the figures I get are correct, but I have to use the date prompt twice. We will always run the data for the same time period. How do I make the one prompt for these two different data items?

thank you!

BigChris

It might depend on how the dates and times are stored in the two tables on the database. You should be able to reuse the same parameters, so that you have something like [Date] between ?pBegin? and ?pEnd? as the filter for both. Is there any difference when you're asked for the dates twice...for example, does one set of prompts have a time element and the other not?
