Hi Gurus

I want to know if it is possible to protect a report send in an email ?  ???
Protected by a password or by an encrypting method

Hi,

If you create an Active Report, it's possible to add an access code (password) to the report which would need to be entered before the report could be viewed. You do this in Report Studio - go to File > Active Report Properties and enter the desired password into the Access code field.

Just to add one more point, for normal report you can put password protection for only PDF format output.

You will get this option when you are either scheduling a report or running it in background.

On schedule page select output format as pdf and then there is hyperlink just below pdf option called as "set..". Here you can set password for your pedf output.

I knew that it could be done on report with pdf output format but I need it for Excel reports...
These reports are generated every day early in the morning and have to be sent to multiple users inside and outside the society ...   :-[

I will try to find a solution through SDK development !
