Customizing value colors in a chart

I'm using Cognos 10.2.2, reading from an Oracle 11.2 database.

I have a combination chart, with a  stacked bar and clustered line.  (The line is invisible, so I can show the cumulative total at the top.)  The chart itself is working fine.

The users both want to see the values, and want a specific color palette for the bars -- namely, they want a section that's maroon.  When I put the black value text in the maroon section, obviously it's not very readable.  I'll attach a sample bar, so you can see what I mean.

Is there a way to conditionally modify the value colors?  I'd like to leave the text black in the first four sections, but make it white in the maroon section.  I've looked all over the place to no avail, and I'm afraid it's not possible.  If not, that's fine...I just need to know that, so I can tell the users.

Thank you!
