Insert Data, very small "window" for selecting data

Please see the attached screenshot, it demonstrates the problem far better than I could explain verbally.  I have seen this with different Cognos applications hosted on different web sites.  Does anyone know what makes the "window" (really a page element or control) so small?  Or know of a trick to make it larger?
