cpf file recover

Hello,

I have lost .cpf file only and remaining files,reports and package i am holding and i want to recover the lossed .CPF file. Can some provide some steps to get it.
i found some steps in google but i don't have an access to restart the services then this case what i can do.

Hi Priya,

as per your post, only .cpf file has deleted then you can bring any .cpf file and rename as deleted file name and try to open with FM, it will work.

Normally .cpf file contains reference information, model files contain main information.

You really ought to consider putting your models into some sort of source control environment.  This sort of problem, which seems to be surprisingly common, could be prevented by having them in source control. Source control also allows you to have versions of models and to track changes, which helps in finger pointing and in defence against finger pointing.
