Cognos 10 Tabs - Re-executes queries?

I have say 2 pages with a prompt page and some additional prompts on report page 2. I have set up the report to display pages as tabs using the new tabbed feature in Cognos.

If I hit the finish button on tab 2 which contains prompts and charts, do the queries on page 1 get re-executed? I want to avoid re-executing queries on tab 1 when I make selections on tab 2 and run the report.
