I am working with a client who has a DB2 BLU data warehouse and IBM has installed Cognos for their reporting. When I went to configuration manager and set the content store to be the new database, Cognos quit working and I am getting a gateway error now.

"The IBM Cognos gateway is unable to connect to the IBM Cognos BI server. The server may be unavailable or the gateway may not be correctly configured. Try again or contact your administrator."

I have attached the error log from the last attempt.

What happens when you right-click and test the configuration of the Content Store db? The user used to connect to the database needs to have permissions to be able to create the required tables. Also there are some specific requirements for each of the supported DB systems. From your log:

CM-CFG-5063 A Content Manager configuration error was detected while connecting to the content store.  CM-CFG-5023 Content Manager is unable to initialize the content store by using the initialization file "C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\c10_64\configuration\schemas\content\db2\dbInitLock_db2.sql". Review the configuration for the content store database in IBM Cognos Configuration to ensure that the settings are correct. Verify that the account used to access the content store is still valid by checking the status of the password and account permissions. Verify that the account that Content Manager uses has sufficient permissions to create, to connect to, and to initialize the file contents in the database. Cause: The table definition statement failed because some functionality was specified in the table definition that is not supported with the table type.  Unsupported functionality: "CLOB"

It looks like one of the requirements for DB2 is not met. There are several hits on Google on setting up the CStore in DB2, here is one of them: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21667225
