Store prompt values in a cache - for alternate drill-through

I have a value prompt with 2 static values , user will select only one value through radio button...

Hi Gurus,

I have a requirement in Report Studio...kind of out-of-the-box...

If user clicks on first radio button and clicks FINISH, existing report should run, there are other prompt values like p1 and p2 which get pass to the current report.

If user clicks on second radio button and clicks FINISH, prompt values (p1 and p2) get store in a cache, and report at other path (target report) should run.

Means, we need to run the target report from source, without using drill-through functionality :-)

Any ideas....

Many thanks in advance,
Joys

Can the two reports be brought into one and then use a render variable to determine which output you want to see?

Yeah, ideally this should be the solution, but is there any way using javascript.

If you can do it with built-in functionality that will likely be preserved with upgrades, why would you want to do it with javascript that could break between upgrades? That makes no sense.

Especially given the news that the new Cognos Viewer in 11 (Cognos Analytics) doesn't support JavaScript at all when running with full interactivity enabled. Why would you wish to code yourself into a dead-end at this point?
