Can anyone please explain me the process to upgrade from Cognos 10.2.1 to 10.2.2.

Below are our environment details:
1. Content Store DB : Microsoft SQL Server 2012
2. OS: Windows Server 2012
3. Cognos BI Server : 64 bit

Thanks for sharing the link. It is very helpful.
Will you be able to explain me the purpose of controller server. Is it recommended to install a controller server along with BI Server.
If so how do we install and controller server.

Hi guys... I am facing the below issue after upgrading the cognos from 10.2 to 10.2.2:
"DPR-ERR-2002 Unable to execute the request because there were no connections to the process available within the configured time limit."

Below are the steps I followed:
1. Fresh installation of 10.2.2 on new server
2. Migrate the content store from 10.2 (windows box) to new environment (AIX box)
after migrating, on UI level it shows all the reports/packages/connections but while opening any report, or accessing any package it gives above said error.

Can anyone talk about the compatibility of 10.2 to 10.2.2?
Can same content store be used in 10.2.2(AIX) or any upgrade is required?

Thanks!!

Hi,

10.2 to 10.2.2 is a very straightforward upgrade. Everything you had in 10.2 should work fine in 10.2.2. If I had to guess, I'd be looking to see if you have any routing rules defined, which are now invalid in your new instance.
