So we installed AIX servers in the Cognos 8 version for stability. In the environment we have one Windows dispatcher to run the Analysis Services.
However since the move from 10.1 to 10.2 we have faced significant degradation of performance in AIX. The same reports routed through Cognos returns fast !

it was not so in 10.1 !

Any thought ?

Hi Sorry for jumping on this post..i have one small question but very important for my learning..what is impact and use of maximum memory setting.

Thanks!

Hi,

It will be the amount of resources that the Cognos service uses.
So if you would be running a number of reports at the same time, this would significantly affect the overall performance of your server.
You need to allocate enough resource to accommodate all the request. You can alter this as needed.
